主席是我的博士论文指导委员会成员钟宇平教授，是斯坦福大学的教育经济的硕士和哲学博士，在华人的教育经济学界，应该说是很闻名的，也是中文大学教育学院前院长。其余两位答辩委员是卢乃桂教授（有政治学配景，哥伦比亚大学教育博士毕业，是中大教育学院创院院长，讲座教授，喷鼻香港教育研究所优点），曾荣光教授（本科到哲学博士悉数是中文大学社会学，喷鼻香港教育研究所副优点，教育政策系教授），他们都是我博士论文研究导师。这与国内的不大一样，国内是禁绝许导师作为答辩成员的。但在这边，博士论文指导会员会可以说是具有登峰造极的权力的，它日常是由三位教授（副教授、助理教授也行）组成，其中一位是导师（我是有两位导师，co-supervisor），他们全程指导论文，他们有权在任何时刻避免你的学业（尽管在理论上要给出justification，但其实这并不难题），至于你什么时刻可以开题，答辩，更是他们说了算。只有他们签字，博士论文才叫经过过程，社会是因为他们几位感受你是博士，你才是博士。所以，从这个逻辑上说，导师列入博士答辩是很自然的工作。
末尾一位答辩委员，也长短常主要的就是校外答辩委员。因为我论文研究的是大陆课程政策的实施，答辩委员决意礼聘华东师大崔允漷教授作为校外评审和答辩委员。校外评审委员也具有很大的权力，若是他感受论文达不到毕业要求，那么就要启动其余一套法式，当然，学术论文指导委员会依然具有最终的决意权，只不外他们也要做出justification。
因为我有两位导师，所以，搞得答辩委员会没有“成员”，都是“向导”了，除了主席，就是外审、导师了，所以，又礼聘了黎万红博士作为我论文的Reader，列入了我的博士论文答辩。
